Letter #52- Rainy Days

Hello Everyone! It has rained all day today! wohoo!!!! Love the rain! But hate having the cold in the rain... too much liquid for me.
We had a Mission Conference this week and it was absolutely fantastic! Elder Antunes from the Quorem of the 70 came and gave an amazing training! I am so grateful for the things that I learned. He talked a lot about studying the scriptures... and how they give us POWER and AUTHORITY when we teach... I loved the way he treated us... as future parents. Not just as missionaries... but our future potential. Wow, I loved it! Woo hoo! Spiritual High! He gave a training about picking a scripture a part and getting the principle or doctrine out to help explain the commandments and laws of God... wow! POW! He took a scripture that I could only see the surface of it... and as he explained it was like a lightning bolt that struck, not just a light bulb, POW! Wow... that is so DEEP!!!! and it shows the love that God has for us. I have grown to absolutely LOVE the Scriptures! And now with the fire and power from them, we can help others understand and comprehend the power of the love of the Savior...

I love this work, I love the scriptures, I love the difficult times to kneel and ask for help, I love the tears of frustration and tears of joy, I love the laughs of new eternal friendships, I love busy schedule, I love the power of the Atonement in my life and in the life of my family.
Have a fantastic week! Read Helaman 3:29-30... shows the blessings that come from the Word of God... aka Scriptures... and the ULTIMATE blessing (in 30).... YES!
Com Carinho,
Sister Waite

Thanks for the love and support family! you are the greatest!

Letter #51

Hey there family and friends!

Time is just flying by, cant believe its the middle of June... the mission is tough, the mission is great, the mission is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am learning a lot about me, my Savior, and especially the love He has for each one of us. I know that at times we get in a droop... but there is ALWAYS a horizon... the sun will rise tomorrow and we have a new day to make the most of life. I love this... I love the chance we have to live and learn about the importance of family, the gospel, and how PERFECT our Savior is... there is no way any one of us will reach this perfection ... but I know that as we strive, we become more closer to our Savior.

We have transfers next week, not sure what is going to happen, but I love change... change is what makes life interesting and we can learn more things with change. Tomorrow we have mission conference! woo hoo!!!! I love mission Conference, a General Authority is here to give training... woot woot! Love seeing mission friends too... what a great day mission conference is!

Keep praying for the missionaries in the field... I feel the influence of the good, the prayers and thoughts and suport, but as a full-time missionary I also feel the pull of the other side too... its very real. so thank you for all of your support and all of the prayers, I know that we will win this battle! We will help our brothers and sisters recognize the good and the good will always win!!!! woo hoo!!!!

Thank you for everything you do and are! I am so grateful for my family... I love each and every one of you so much! thank you for all you do! Im glad Jessica and Derek made it safe and are LOVING Georgia... woot woot! Have a great time in ND Mom, and Parker will definitley embrace you with lots of hugs when you get back... thanks Dad for the supporting emails! Have a great Birthday Greg! Letter #49-Rainy Days

Hello Family and Friends!

Well... the rain and cold is coming down hard here in São Paulo... I never really thought my mood shifted with the weather... but really, when there isnt sunshine... its interesting how the glumliness can have an effect on you... But the rays of sunshine seem to come through to help the day go by.

This week we have had some pretty rainy experiences with our work here in our area... man... the Lord never said it would be easy, he did say it would be worth it. I know in the mist of the busy São Paulo City life, He will help find a way for His work to progress... This is me and my new companion! sis. De Jesus! :D She is hilarious! haha quite the personality. But I love the way she works!
Just know that I am doing well! with the rain, we found a few second-hand clothes shops and baught some clothes for the cold weather! SO CHEAP! yes!
